Haunted Summer, the Los Angles-based duo of husband-and-wife Bridgette Moody and John Seasons – who earlier in the year released a cover of Daniel Johnston’s “You Put My Love Out The Door” – will return with new album Whole on June 20 via Rain Phoenix’s label LaunchLeft.
The track is a warm slow burning folk effort with a highly atmospheric spirit with a strong emotive tone to it. Like a blend of the natural songwriting gold of Neil Young with the dreamy presence of Beach House.
About the track they add:
This song was written at a friend’s house we were staying at while on tour. They were going through a breakup and had cameras laying around the house. It is about a emotion or memory being immortalized by a photo that you could revisit whenever you like.
