Frog Throat is a New York-based artist that has charmed us with their single “Womens’ Jeans”, a wonderful indie-rock jam that feels like it is pulled from the mid-2000’s era blog rock sound (a compliment).
It is charming full of 80s-indie scene jangle and whimsical sensibility with a melancholic feel – along with a quirky stride of its own. Built with smart and rather hooky arrangements and a bright spirit, it’s a track that takes you on a journey on a surprising path of its own.
Providing insight on the track, the artist adds:
I wrote this song in 2019 as a freshly minted adult, trying to figure out a solid routine for how to keep my sink clean, and grappling with anxiety that the world could end at any second. We were finally able to record it post-apocalypse and are pretty pleased with how it has come out.
