Kelowna, British Columbia-based musician Tide Rider is an artist we have shared plenty of times of late. Today we hit back with the dream-pop artist’s latest winner in “Complacency.”
This song is about “being stuck in a situation that you know you should change.. but do not have the courage to do it” and saw the artist record it on a vintage reel to reel in my shed that I converted to a studio this year.
The melancholic jangly guitar work and evocative emotive dreamy vocals are in full force and tap into something more somber and heartfelt than even his previous efforts. The recording style definitely fits the sonic mood and texture that it deserves.
