Spencer Elliott is a West Virginia-based musician who makes instrumental progressive and acoustic rock. He has recently collaborated with bassist Sean Sydnor and drummer Chris Hudson on his new album SE3 which CandyRat Records put out on April 9th.
The goal was to put all of their rock influences into a melting pot of such, as well as progressive finger-picking guitar playing, and put together something unique along the way.
They accomplish that and then some on the new release, which features highly melodic and soothing offerings such as the album’s standout and lead single, “Silver Maple.” The guitar work is on full display, providing a meditative sort of feeling that just feels straight-up relaxing and good for the soul.
