New York-based alt-indie rock trio Okami Three was formed in January 2021, fusing the power of elements of alternative rock, electro-acoustic, post-grunge, power-pop, and psychedelic rock.
All of these elements are felt on their awesome new single “Blue”, a psych-rock leaning exploration that has a bit of a 90s rock and even proggy blend with some warm classic rock guitars and folk storytelling felt in the vocal delivery. The track feels like a spiritual journey spent long on the road alone with nothing more than your thoughts.
About the single, the band adds:
Pinning our sound down to a specific genre or style has always been difficult for us. Our music is derived from the moods, sentiments, and emotions that originate from day to day life experience.
Our latest release “Blue” is about losing someone, which we’ve all experienced in some form or another at some time. We like to think it reflects a bit of the relativity between us all.
