Humdrum is a Queer dream pop/indie pop band from Chicago, Illinois led by Loren Vanderbilt III, who has won us over rather handedly with their sun-soaked single “Superbloom.”
The track is about “running through fields of flowers with someone you are crazy about, ignoring the outside world and living only for that moment” and captures that feeling effortlessly. Lush and shimmering guitar work that emulates some of the best of the indie rock of the 80s and 90s, with vibrant dreamy vocals that all add up to something life-affirming and uplifting.
