The Short Waves are a Scottish-based indie rock outfit who have recently won us over with their single “Down,” which appears on their new EP, Shutter. It’s described by the band as being about the “communal come down felt by many people when locked down two years ago.”
The song is a track that features a bit of a 90s indie rock quality to it, reminiscent of bands like Karate, Pedro The Lion, Pinback, and the like. It’s a track that has a playful guitar tone and nice time shifts in energy that works wonderfully.
