elison, the Iowa-based duo of Marissa Kephart and Scott Yoshimura, recently released a cover of The Polyphonic Spree’s classic track, “Light & Day”, which they included as a b-side to “Little Lies.”
The cover is their first that features Yoshimura on vocals, a choice that recaptures a lot of what made that original version work, but with plenty of elison’s own stamp to bring it to enough of a new place to make it a more than worthy cover.
