Los Angeles native Kate Clover will release her debut album, Bleed Your Heart Out tomorrow, April 22nd, via SongVest Records.
Leading the charge is the addictive high energy “Heaven Down Here.” The track doesn’t waste anytime kicking fully into high gear, with blisteirng guitar work, somewhere between surf-psych rock and a power pop sound that is simply powerful and addictive.
About the song, Clover adds:
“‘Heaven Down Here’ is the most jangle pop inspired cut from the album, inspired by the melancholic punk sound of The Saints and the C86 cassette compilation. Lyrically, the song is about accepting one’s place in life and feeling content even when your choices are looked down upon.”
