Norwegian singer-songwriter Simen Mitlid recently returned with his new EP Social, which features tracks such as the previously shared “Leon T.” and “DNA”. With the EP’s official release into the world, today we will focus on a few other highlights.
This includes the sun-soaked and charming modern pop effort that is “Away” a track that soars high with a delicate croon and vibrant arrangements. Or the colorful “Dead End” a track that coasts in a soothing manner, with a blend of electronic and indie rock elements – a bit that reminds of POP ETC.
But for us, the standout is Mitlid’s duet with fellow Norwegian-based musician Benedikt. A gorgeous display of the power of folk-rock, the track features a haunting chorus backed with a flurry of vocals that all add up to something enchanting and emotionally devastating.
