British electronic pop duo Private Agenda are preparing for the release of their sophomore album A Mannequin, and have since shared their rather vibrant lead single “Dressed in Velvet.”
The track is one big groove of a mood, combining slick disco beats, evocative atmosphere, and seductive vocals with a polished style of production that brings it to life in a most cinematic fashion. Or as the band describes it:
We’ve always imagined this one to be like a big reveal to the second act of a play… it is the first track on the second side of the album after all. Flamboyant and glamorous from the start, but with a soft, intimate centre. Musically, it harks back to some of our earlier releases such as Freefalling and Instinct.
