Jo Schornikow is an Australian songwriter who you may know from her time spent as a part of Phosphorescent (her husband is frontman Matthew Houck).
She’s preparing for the release of new album which will feature the recently shared single “Lose Yr Love.” The track feels like a soaring blend of The War On Drugs and Courtney Barnett, with a glorious wave of synth combining well with the 90s indie rock garage punch. There’s a genuine emotional sentiment bubbling under the surface, with the songs heavier themes of exploring “the beauty in the fall out before the finality of losing someone.”
