Victoria, British Columbia-based musician Art d’Ecco recently returned with the throwback single “Palm Slave” a track that will appear on a new record via Paper Bag Records.
The track snugly wrestles in the world of glam rock and roll with a 70s sense of style and swagger that comfortably suites his sound and style. Full of seductive vocals, slick guitar riffs, and big horns, it’s a timeless sounding track that feels readymade to soundtrack Richard Linklater’s next film.
As described by Art, the new track is “a cautionary tale about obsession, and how a misguided search for meaning and purpose, may lead some to very dark places.”
