Roller Derby, the ever-reliable Hamburg, Germany-based indie rockers have recently returned with their grand and soaring single “Starry-Eyed.”
This is one of the band’s most confident and soaring moments to date, a song that “conveys the feeling of losing emotional access to your partner and suffering from the indifference of the other person.” It features a shimmering lead guitar lick that taps into a very 80s post-punk and dream pop sound that is as emotionally powerful as it is slick and commanding with a sense of nostalgia.
