Geez Louise is an indie rock band from Nashville, Tennessee who has charmed us greatly with their recently released single “Placing Bets.”
A blend of 90s-esque vocal work and crisp guitars combined forces into a rather charming indie and garage sound. From the effects of the slick guitar work and sneak catchy nature of the chorus, it’s a track that feels transported from a different era, yet somehow also very much a sound of its time.
About the track, the band adds:
We all have that one extremely self destructive friend that we want to see do well, but betting against them actually getting their life together unfortunately seems like it will be the winning hand.
