New York-based singer-songwriter Charlotte Rose Benjamin will release her debut album Dreamtina on April 22nd, which will feature tracks like the wonderful lead single, “satisfied.”
The track has a charming indie rock and folk sound that turns into a power-pop anthem captures a mix of 90s power pop vibes with an early 2000s Moldy Peaches element. And every second of it is utterly wonderful.
About the song, Benjamin adds:
I was really into this boy I had just started seeing, I was sure he was about to be my boyfriend. I invited him to this house party in Bushwick that my band was playing at and two days before the show he broke up with me. And then he showed up to my show accidentally! He genuinely didn’t see the poster and thought he was just going to a house party. It was so funny and sad and stupid I had to make it a song
