As Spring hints at the warmer days that await us this summer, we can look forward to getting a chance to play “Coastal” during its hottest days. It’s the new single from Italian indie rockers Go Hawaii, and will appear on their debut album Trespass due out in May.

“Coastal” takes heavy influence from new wave greats with a very 80s presence in the air, along with a more early 2010s sound, reminding a bit of bands like Craft Spells, The Drums, and Beach Fossils.

About the track, the band added:

We wrote this song trying to convey feelings of melancholy and bliss at the same time. Inspiration came from daydreaming and past personal experiences with lovers.
