The ever-consistent dream poppers Still Corners are about to headout for a big tour across Europe and the US this Spring. With those big plans on the horizon, the band has recently shared their wonderous single “Far Rider.”
The track stands tall at seven minutes, described by them as a “desert-noir odyssey” that combines slanky psych rock and 70s rock hums to their blend of lush dreamy arrangements. It feels like an endless drive down a barren desert highway, where time is only a construct.
About the song, the band explains:
This song is about leaving, lost love and finding yourself somewhere on the journey, really it’s about redemption. I recently drove 6000 miles across the southwest to feel the sun on my face and think. We used the dreamlike nature of the song to capture the landscape and a hypnotic feel to conjure up the long and lonely travel days.”
