Antelope is an indie-rock three-piece from Austin, Texas who has caught our attention with their great single “Wolf at the Door.”

The track shimmers with a bit of a 90s classic indie rock sound, the sort of Sub Pop and Merge Records guitar fuzzy element, along with a bit of an emo rock influence to the vocals, that all blends together to form something very much of its own creation.

About the song, the band adds:

Wolf at the Door is about a seasoned (aging) artist who has come to always expect harsh criticism or a backhanded compliment from a constantly mysterious presence in the world. He’s starting to feel like “a ghost of his old (younger) self” and wonders why he bothers trying to “keep the wolf at the door”. He wants to let go and be with what “sets his mind at ease”.  This rather dark imagery is contrasted with the carefree and vibrant hooks and guitar solo in the song.
