Sonic Løland is the music project of Norwegian musician Anders Løland. He is preparing for the release of his debut album, And Then The Sun Came Up, which will be released via Koke Plate this fall.
The album saw him work with co-producer Hans Olav Settem, who worked with him on sonically complex and charming songs such as the album’s lead single “Up To You.” The track revels in the smooth delightful nature of classic 70s songs, blurring the lines of rock and pop genres, creating something that just is smooth and dreamy as all hell.
Or as Løland describes it:
“Up To You” is the first single from Sonic Løland’s upcoming debut album. It is a warm track with psychedelic twists, groovy instrumentation and a catchy melody. “Soon after I bought my first piano and moving it into my small apartment in downtown Oslo, I came up with the idea for the piano part which forms the basis of the song. It is also the piano recording from the living room this particular day we hear in the final version.
