Stockholm’s Miynt will release her debut album, Lonely Beach, via B3SCI Records on May 6th. Ahead of its release, she has released its lead single “Of the sun.”
The aptly named song pulls from the best elements of dream pop, psych-rock, and 80s shimmering Stereolab-esque pop. Funky, smooth, and full of sun-soaked colorful ideas, it bursts to life and pays an ode to the past while looking firmly ahead at new possibilities for the genre.
When speaking on the song, she gives a pitch perfect description: “I visited hotel De la sol in a dream and this is the song that was playing in the bar”
