Xarissa is a singer-songwriter originally from Gainesville, Florida, who currently calls Toronto home. They have released their very colorful and vibrant indie-pop jam “Leather and Lipstick” a track that features Barcelon on vocals.
The track has a classic pop sound that is pretty much as natural as they come. An emotive vocal performance captures a nostalgic feeling of missed love, or “electric lovers reconnecting for one night.” Xarissa’s vocals combined with Barcelon combined to a rather lovely indie pop duet that works charmingly.
