Glasgow’s MEMES, the duo of cousins John and Paul McLinden, have hit back with their new single “Second Thought” a song that will appear on their new EP due out later in the year.

The song, which was produced by Darwin Deez, is a song about well..having second thoughts. It’s a playful yet jangly mix of post-punk and even a bit of a colorful art rock energy that chugs along with a great deal of confidence.

Delving into the new single, John says:

I’ve often wondered what people are really thinking when I talk to them. Behind the mask and the measured words. So, I started imagining these cartoon conversations where involuntary thought bubbles would appear above people’s heads as they spoke, betraying what they truly thought. That’s what gave birth to the song
