The Simps are the newly formed Los Angele duo featuring Filipino-American musicians Eyedress and zzzahara who earlier this month release their debut album Siblings.
With it now being out into the world, we are here to present to you two highlights from the album. First, there is the glossy 80s synth offering “Hold Me Down” which calls to mind modern acts such as TOPS, Mr Twin Sister, and even some early Ariel Pink.
Then there’s “Heavy” a track that hones in a very 70s California classic pop sound with a brisk charm and vibrant sun-soaked nature that just radiates West Coast vibes.
