Queens-based band The Breaks Inc. recently returned with their new single “No Words (It’s Just This Thing That I Do)” that the band’s DM wrote about a girl almost a year ago, where it moved her to tears the first time she heard it. They are still dating to this day.
You get a sense of why upon listening to the expansive and lovely rocker that rises to the occasion in a genuine heartfelt matter. There are a lot of classic rock moments and a bit of a Ben Kwller singer-songwriter element that shines through sincerely.
About the song, DM adds:
It’s about realizing that sometimes there’s nothing you can do aside from what you’re supposed to do. And you might not be able to explain it either. It’s just something you have to do despite everything else.
