Norwegian indie rockers Lazy Queen are due for the release of their new EP A Human Reaction on March 18th via Icons Creating Evil Art. We previously shared single “Bed/Head” and today we hit back with the follow-up single, “Alcohol.”
It’s a lively cut of indie rock with some sharp classic rock riffs and high octane and high-energy guitar work and a polished shine that leans a bit into 80s synth and a pop-friendly chorus. But it’s the sort of anthemic single that makes you realize that they very well could be one of the breakthrough acts of 2022.
About the single, the band’s Henrik Gacía Søberg added:
“You know that feeling, when life feels impossibly confusing and difficult and everything is spiraling out of control, and then, in a sudden moment of infuriating clarity, you realize that the answer is simply a very sensible measure you’re absolutely not willing to take; ‘cause that sweet sweet wallowing in your own misery is just too good to let go… sucks, doesn’t it?””
