Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Dash Hammerstein has recently returned with the expansive genre-spanning single “Her Style Is Laura Ashley.”
The song features his 80-year-old grandmother Dena Hammerstein and a few others, capturing a sound that feels very classic British in every sense. Full of funky throwback rock elements, big horns, and a spoken word-esque vocals delivery that feels part Blur and part Foxygen.
