Broken Down Golf Cart is the project of Jen, a musician originally from Canada who now resides in the UK. They tap into a glorious blend of 70s psych and 80s indie-pop on their new single “Liquid Sunshine”.

The track feels like a surf rock-influenced Stereolab, full of pummeling fuzzy guitar rock goodness and some lush evocative dream-pop vocals that are vibrant and full of life.

Providing some context on the song, Jen adds:

There is one swear word at the end in the chorus “don’t give a fuck” but I have a clean version if you need! has to do with days feeling redundant and the climate and things feeling overwhelming but also hopeful – not giving up. This isn’t about feeling defeated but instead expressing that you feel defeated but are hopeful that the world really does have some good in it.
