Swimmingly is the monkier of East London indie-folk singer/songwriter Mack Hofberg, who first caught our attention nearly a year ago with his clever cover of an original song featured in Lady Bird.
He has since returned with “The Bosphorus”, his first original song since his series of covers last year. The track features a touching and intimate soulful folk sound with an expansive nature and atmosphere that feels like a blend of Big Thief, The Antlers, and something uniquely himself.
Or as he describes it:
The Bosphorus is a love song inspired by Urban Geography, Football Rivalries, and an 80s VHS Wedding tape.
