Last week Seattle singer-songwriter Carrie Biell released new album We Get Along, which is their first album in nearly 14 years.

Highlighting the album is the touching lead single and album standout “See Through the Trees,” a song about the give and take of a new relationship and the toll that the past has taken on you. It’s got a bit of a light 90s folk and alt-country sound, perfect for fans of Waxahatchee.

About the track, Biell reveals:

This is about feeling maxed out in life by people and life commitments, but still trying to open up and be vulnerable in a new relationship. It’s about responding to your own needs while also giving to a new partner and learning to trust.
