Berlin-based Norwegian-Irish singer-songwriter Tara Nome Doyle released their new album Værmin on January 28th via Modern Recordings. We previously shared “Crow” from the album and today follow that up with “Caterpillar.”

The enchanting track captures an atmospheric passionate feeling that is wonderous with some really passionate vocal work and a bit of an expansive folk sound. The vocals are emotive and genuine in their approach for something grandiose and larger than life.

Speaking on the song, Doyle added:

“Sometimes it seems to me as if my depression is actively trying to lull me into a false sense of comfort in times of perceived hopelessness. I wanted to explore my relationship with this state that is at once harrowing and oddly tempting, so I wrote “Caterpillar” from the perspective of personified depression.”
