R. Missing is the duo New York-based vocalist Sharon Shy and musician Henry “Toppy” Frost who have combined forces to create a compelling sonic force of their own, as seen on their single “Placelessness.”

It is drenched in an atmospheric mood and template, full of 80s inspired synth work and dreamy and ethereal vocals, that recall of some modern acts like Purity Ring and Chromatics, with a bit of the production framework of legends of the field like Portishead.
