Brooklyn-based post-punk rock outfit Catcher ended 2021 with the release of their brooding single “Comparing Saviors and Friends.”
The track channels the tense post-punk and garage rock efforts of bands like Protomartyr and Shame with a bit of a loose raw edginess of their own, with the commanding vocals of lead singer Austin Eichler. You can just imagine this one going over well live as cheap beer goes flying over the crowd’s head.
