“Sub Par Elevator Music” is the team-up of musicians Cam Gilfoy and Planet Parlor to create something that is sonically lush and just what we needed as we are locked in our homes once again.
The track is light in its production and approach while landing with a violent thud emotionally. There is a raw sincerity to it all that feels like a glorious mix of early Frankie Cosmos and Japanese Breakfast and a bit of a 90s. dream pop and folk combination that is hitting all of the right spots right about now. And how about that song title? Its just perfect.
About the song Gilfoy explains:
This song was created in a small apartment in southwest Vermont while I was working 80 hours a week. I would work on this song late at night until I had to go to work the next morning. Once I had the arrangement together I brought in Planet Parlor to add drums and vocals.
