TV Room is the new project of Lucy Rushton, drummer of the band Deep Tan. She has recently released her debut single “Balcony” via Sad Club Records, showcasing that she is more than ready to embark on this solo journey.

The track is a lovely and rather intimate ballad that taps into a raw and personal vulnerable sense of confessional storytelling. There is a classic feel to her navigation of this terrain, but one that rings true and hits you with a warm sense of melancholy before it shifts into a slightly more upbeat and positive feeling towards its conclusion.

About the song Rushton says:

I wrote it as a sort of letter to someone who I couldn’t speak to at the time, so in a way I see it as a subliminal message to them. Songwriting to me is basically like therapy, in that it’s where I put all of the feelings that I struggle saying out loud’.
