Dear Boy is a band of good friends from Los Angeles who are preparing for the release of their debut album which will be released in 2022 via their new label, Last Gang.
The band recently gave fans a taste of the album with the single “Say When” a track that revels in the lush and dreamy soundscapes of 80s pop and new wave with some indie-pop as well.
The shimmering guitars and elements of shoegaze callbacks tie into a big emotional sweeping chorus that drives the emotional stake straight into the heart.
About the song, the band’s Ben Grey says:
“Say When” is about not knowing what you want, but convincing yourself you know who you want it with. When we find someone in life, we’re undoubtedly still finding ourselves, trying to control our connections rather than letting them be what they are. Loving someone for real means truly seeing them.
