Portland indie rocker MAITA will return with their new album I Just Want To Be Wild For You February 18 on Kill Rock Stars an album that sees the Japanese-American songwriter “digging into that crippling oxymoron of modern communication — constant bombardment paired with utter disconnection.”
Such as the recently shared single “You Sure Can Kill a Sunday (Part I)” a song that was written in “response to a debate she and her partner had over their dreams”, a representation of one side of an argument. The track operates as a loose garage rock 90s anthem with a bit of a Mistki-like emotional undercurrent that bursts through those raw guitars and punk-inspired riffs.
