Brooklyn-based trio Colatura is prepping to release their debut full-length album for release in 2022 which saw them pass demos back-and-forth throughout 2020 and resulted in a writing retreat in upstate New York before recording in the Hudson Valley, Connecticut, and at their own Tessatura Studio in Manhattan.
The band has since shared its sprawling lead single, “We Run On Empty, a slow-burning yet hot rising slice of enchanting dream pop with a hypnotic vocal delivery and some ruminating shoegazy guitars. There is a melancholic and lovely presence to it all that shows a great deal of promise for the record of the rest of the album hits as warmly as this one.
