His His is the project of Toronto-based artist Aidan Belo, who recently shared his lovely single “In The Wind.”
He wrote the song during a rainy afternoon spent inside his apartment, written about loosing a set of notes and voice memos very important to me.” He set out to record it in the empty spacce of an old wooden barn which is now converted to a makeshift studio.
This allows for the acoustics that are so deftly navigated on the track, an honest and raw folk sound that feels very 90s in spirit, reminded of modern artists such as Alex G with even a bit of Luna and Yo La Tengo in there. He navigates a songwriting simplicity that is a part of its charm – yet still maintaining an emotional beating heart that rings true.
