Los Angeles’ psych-rock indie outfit Elephant Castle, the project led by Phil Danyew, recently returned with his new single “Caught In A Twilight Zone”.
The song describes his experience last summer waking up in a park and not sure where he was, later diagnosed with a concussion and retrograde amnesia. He’s still affected by this, with the pandemic only adding to what has not been the easiest road to recoveries.
Even with that said, the song taps into that Tame Impala-esque realm of groovy psych-pop and rock with a colorful kick and plenty of funky moments that are retro-tinted and plenty addictive way tapping into both indie rock and pop.
