Swedish indie rock band And The Broken recently let go of their sophomore EP Red, following the success of their debut single “The Flu/Someday.”

With its release, today we focus on the EP’s opener, “Eighteen.” The track captures a lot of the whimsical pop hooks and light but crisp indie rock charm that shines ever so brightly here.

It taps into the power-pop smarts of fellow Swede’s Peter Bjorn and John as well as finding a bit of a 90s indie rock element that feels like a good proper throwback, with elements of its own to really allow it to shine in its own way.

Enjoy a listen to “Eighteen” below and find the entire EP available to stream or purchase on Bandcamp now.
