vern matz is one of the low-key most prolific bands at it right now, with the duo quickly following up this year’s Perennial with a brand new album that will come out sometime in 2022.
They have given us a first taste of the album with “tokyo sounds” a gorgous indie folk anthem with a bit of a 90s sound that atmosphere. There is a naturalistic tone and spirit that runs through it, rooted in so many classics of the genre, with a really sweeping and sincere atmosphere in the air.
