Brisbane indie-folk duo Hollow Coves have returned with new single “Purple,” a track that tackles the subject of blossoming love in a most tender manner that captures a lot of what makes folk music so special.
The song was inspired by a pivotal moment in band member Matt Cairns relationship with his now wife. The track has a lovely yet expansive folk sound, maybe with a slight pop tint to it, but one that wears its emotions on its sleeve and as a result it connects in a big devestating manner that rings true.
