Australian psych-rockers murmurmur turn back the clocks on their psych-influenced single “Marianne,” taken from their soon-to-be-released new EP Moving Objects, which is due out November 25 through Inertia/Pias.

“Marianne” combines classic psych rock with biting 90s Brit rock and a garage rock edge. Think early Tame Impala blended with Temples and King Gizzard with some trippy Beatles influence tieing all of it together.

About the track the band adds:

The song is an ode to a car that murmurmur vocalist and guitarist Will Fletcher’s father owned in early 19060s London – a 1938 Austin 7 given the same name. The cars dilapidated nature continues a gradual downward spiral over years of wild times, a concept expanded by the band to near folklore on ‘Marianne’. Throughout the track, the car becomes a creature of the night, with the ability to drive without the need for a driver at the wheel.
