Siamese Twin is the project of a Munich, Germany-based musician named Chris whose song “Woodland Moonlight (Dork)” we shared earlier in the year.
He’s since returned with a new EP entitled teenitus that features many of the same qualities that caught our attention the last time around.
Take the opening track “minidv dork” which fully indulges in the best elements of shoegaze with some Slowdive elements of production, lush vocal melodies and fuzzy guitar work – not to mention the title track name. Following it is “glass of water (4K)” a track that carries over those shoegazy elements, just with a bit more of a 90s folk and raw songwriting nature.
Finally there is “Ferdinand” which feels like the best of both of these worlds, just a bit more of a 80s The Cure-like guitar style, well paired with these lovely dreamy and lush elements all around it.
You can find all three tracks below along with the rest of the EP which is streaming in full.
