Charlie Needs Braces is the project of Melbourne musician Charlie Woods, a creative artist who caught our attention earlier in the year with her impressive effort “What A Day.”
Charlie straddles a creative sound that is something of a genre of her own, shown in full on her recently released single “Dollar $igns.” Combing the eccentric art-rock and pop of Tune-Yards with the brass-instrument indie pop of bands like Rubblebucket, it’s a creative juggernaut that should not be missed. This is an artist marching to the beat of their own drum.
