Dutch singer Josephine Odhil returned recently with her single “Be Your Better Self” which feels as if it could have been a long-lost gem re-discovered from the 70s. The song is described as being about ” obsessive self-improvement in today’s digital age.”

The track feels like a mix of Tame Impala, Melody’s Echo Chamber, and Stereolab, with a daydreamy light psych sound that coasts cooly with some laid-back homespun pop qualities that are warm and full of passion. It makes the old sound new and personal again, which is a true testament to the success of the single.
