Kyoto Kyoto is a London-based trio who are described as “emerging experimentalists” and certainly live up to that name and then some on their recently shraed opus “Dart Oporto 56.”

The song was written in a recording studio housed above the metro station “Oporto” in Madrid and is like a furious blend of King Gizzard, Black Midi, and Khruangbin, it’s a song that offers some chill moments that are intersected by some vicious guitar laced psych that also includes some grooves completely unique in a world of its own.

Kyoto Kyoto lead singer Lev Ceylan describes the song as being about:

People who lose themselves completely in their craft. And reflecting on how they must deal with the hard times and obstacles they face.
