Birmingham-based band Phantom Limb will return with their new album Pastoral this fall. Described as an “exploration of the rural South” taken from singer-songwriter Andrew Laningham’s youth, the album sees a combination of rock and indie pop hooks with electronic textures and sample creation something spectacular to bring a full vision of his “childhood locale, both in its idyllic beauty and underlying pains” to life.
The track hits hard with some anthemic psych-leaning production and hooks with colorful swirling synths bubbling under the surface. It combines into something that feels both retro and familiar yet full of new inspiration and life.
