Montreal-based artist Julia Daigle (who is a co-founder of Paupière) is preparing for the release of her debut album, Un singe sur l’épaule, which is due out on November 5th via Lisbon Lux.
The song takes the influence and energy of old school French alt-pop with a bit of a Stereolab and Kate Bush sound mixed with the modern elements of acts like Aldous Harding. Creating something haunting and alluring yet full of an emotive presence that is hard to shake.
